STEP ONE - Buy a participation card

To qualify in the world record attempt you need to purchase an official Pub Fest Participation Card* for $5.00.  Buy a participation card before the event so you're ready to go on the day.  

Purchase your participation card from:
- Maryborough Fraser Island Visitor Information Centre - City Hall on Kent Street  ph: 1800 214 789
- Any participating pub prior to the event
- Any of the Hydration Stations located at the entry to each venue on the day of the event

Or these cards can be purchased as part of a pack with other Pub Fest merchandise online.  

* $1 from the sale of each card is donated to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia

STEP TWO -  Get a team and create your costume

Get a group of mates together create your Pub Fest team. Plan your Pub Fest costume and join in the Pub Fest costume carnivale. There will be a costume competition throughout the day with a prize awarded for the best dressed individual, best team costume and best "Jazz up Your Jocks" interpretation.  

STEP THREE - Find a starting point

Make your way to any of the participating pubs just before the official starting time of 11:00am.  Maryborough's time cannon will fire on the dot of 11am in Wharf Street and the bells of St Paul's Anglican Church ring to officially kick off the day.

STEP FOUR - Help set a world record

To count as a Guinness World Record entry, you must buy at least one drink - we encourage soft drink - at a minimum of 10 participating pubs within the allocated time (11am- 6pm). You can buy more if you like but alcoholic drinks cannot be taken outside of the designated drinking areas - you cannot walk between pubs holding a drink.  All of the usual liquor licensing, smoking, underage and traffic laws still apply!

STEP FIVE - Get stamped

Get your card validated - your Pub Fest participation card has a blank square for each participating pub. When you buy your first drink at each pub, the bar attendant will stamp your card. You must have at least 10 squares stamped to be counted as a Guinness World Record entry.

STEP SIX - Hand in your card for a chance to win!

Lodge your card - entry boxes will be located in every pub. You must enter your card at the conclusion of the event to qualify for a Guinness World Record.

YOU COULD WIN!   First card out of the Draw with 10 stamps wins $500, and first card out of the draw with 14 stamps wins $750!
